@my understanding.... it has never been MetLife or any other company I have ever worked for that matters style to hand out some list of folks who have been laid off, probably because of peoples privacy and the fact that it would be more reprehensible to parade those people's misfortune around, than to just let people find out over time. just my opinion, sincerely, one of the misfortunates.
It's my understanding that this board is now being monitored by the executive group.

The communication around these layoffs s—ed. It's reprehensible that we find out we've lost coworkers to satisfy an expense ratio only after having our emails to them bounce back. Can you imagine how demoralizing that is?

what happened? was anyone in Rhode Island/Warwick let go? i have not heard anything and have no communication about it and nothing to share with my team. has anyone heard anything about when P&C will be sold or what will happen to the P&C employees or claims employee? or with legal?

I was told they wanted to give at least 30 days notice, so that's why they announced on Dec 1. They also said no more this year.
So I guess we're safe until at least the end of January.

If you’re in claims an email was sent by Christin White this afternoon. Not sure how the other gto leads communicated it. Sounds like you’re in the clear. Unfortunately the communication rollout wasn’t great. I heard my boss was impacted from my peers yesterday. It was 24 hours before a leader shared the news with our team
Ok, my department is part of the GTO and we heard nothing... not one lay off, or even the tiniest rif.

Yes people were affected in my group yesterday under GTO/GO - 6 to 8. Mix of levels.last day 12/31. I was told more coming in other areas today. Then communication.
Are they planning to do more lay offs of lower level employees in addition to this? Or just some re-orgs?

We had an all hands meeting with Joe just now. 2 mins and he read from a script. I know of no one who was effected.
