Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Forgot about this site

Since Covid hit I totally forgot about this site. For some reason it popped into my head and I figured I would see what’s going on at good ole Follett. Sounds as if the culture is just as positive and uplifting as I remember. Blessings to the front line folks. I feel for ya. Get out as soon as you can.

Welcome back! It's really appaling and disgusting to see so many talented front line good people that have left because of the BS. Go on LinkedIn and do a Follett People search. There are so many Vp's and directors your head will spin. 80% of my former department has been laid off, top producers have moved on, yet the "clique" of former Scholastic circle still exists. Business Operations Analyst? Sales Operations and Program Development Manager? Project Support Coordinator? I want to see a DETAILED minute by minute job description of these titles. Pick up the phone and call one of these Business Operations Analysts. NOBODY is working from home right now. They are either sleeping or cyber Monday shopping online. These are the clowns that would lock themselves in a conference room and work on "special" projects all day, if not all week. It's all BS!!!! While all these VP's and directors are sitting on their arshes why don't they do an audit and get rid of the waste? Consolidate people and cut the fat. THE WRONG PEOPLE ARE LEAVING!!!! And the survivors are overpaid management, managing the few leftovers working remotely. ATTN: BOARD OF DIRECTORS- Hire an outside firm to do a management cost analysis. (just let the outside firm know that you dont pay bills on time, if not at all because all the Business Operations Analyst's need to be paid first).
