I am currently working for another bank and planning to apply for a job in Chase. I am hearing that Chase lays off employees 3-4 times in year in certain organizations. Which organization is risky for layoff CCB, CIB, CB, Corporate Technology, AM, AWM, GTI, CTC any other?

I worked for both AWM and GTI and I was shocked after moving to GTI that they lay off employees at the end of November so they don’t have to pay out bonus
Don't. Just Don't. There are so man layers of incompentent managers creating complex processes that make it more difficult to complete your job tasks. I have been doing the same job for 20 years. Due to all the new automated rule sets and complicated procedures in place I complete only about 50% of the work that I did 20 years ago. It's like working for the government.

let me tell you how this company operates, skeleton teams made of 2 or 3 USA based analysts , working along 100+ APAC analysts any giving day while Teams disapeered in thin air just like black magic.
If you perform well and your year end ratings reflect a strong rating (that is your management agrees that you are a high performer), then you're generally safe.

The more niche the job is, the less likely you’re to get laid off. This is because there’s less opportunity for them to save money by automating or outsourcing your job. There’s about 1-3 people at the whole company that do the job I do.
all of them but for different reasons: can it be outsourced? Can it be automated? Can it be sent to a lower cost region? The only thing that keeps people safe are senior relationships and advanced science degrees in hot trend areas that make you a shoe in for every other tech company.
