I can’t lie, there have been a lot of good days at Belk, or maybe I prefer to remember good things. Unfortunately, in the end, everything is overshadowed by bad management, especially through this crisis. The dismissal did not surprise me, it was just a matter of time. I will miss some colleagues a lot, great people. There were some wonderful times.
I can’t believe how quickly a company was destroyed, something I previously thought could never happen.

Really? You want a layoff update from the layoff page? Hahahahahahaha. This site doesn’t provide this information.
Did they let people go? Or give an update on the future of the company?
Business-wise? Nada. Breaks, though..
Depending upon the weather, I would either walk or nap during lunch. Remember those proper, hour-long meal breaks for civilized folk? The naps, stretched out in the car parked under a shade tree were fine, but walking the perimeter of the mall campus was a treat on a pleasant day as, off to one side, there was a wooded area where I could visit with the big ol' turtles that would amble out from the creek area in the afternoon to catch some sun.
Add earbuds with my own music or audio books, and that was instant getaway every day!
Belk who? What was that? A retail store?!! LOL
I miss the old Belk. The big cursive "B" Belk. Those were good days, and great people to work with.
