While the "other" stores students already paid for books, you zero pick hoping "your student" will buy but that's not guaranteed. Lazy.

LAZY - Lazy?

Why not? Treat people like dirt and and you get "LAZY!

Damn straight LAZY! Every damn day!

"I would order my texts early, get them on the shelf, send out maybe a couple a day. I would not give some other store my hard work, leaving nothing for the students. Never got in that much trouble either."

Wow, the nerve. And I suppose you don't have any other stores fill "your students" books?. While the "other" stores students already paid for books, you zero pick hoping "your student" will buy but that's not guaranteed. Lazy.

I put my students first when it came to sales, they do so love to crow about how every failure is the fault of the field management/stores only, and if we're sending our sales elsewhere, how does that track? In the end the period was so weak by the third day of classes I gave up and just sent it all on.

When I was with the company, I'd let my NOH pile up until my backorders were done... Then do receiving. I hated the routing system, it was terrible years ago and I imagine it still is!

You all need to learn your lesson at Follett as you have been used and abused.

If you look at Follett as a job and do as little as possible to get by the that's ok.

If you look at Follett as career, THAT would be a mistake.

Our sales have actually been decent, maybe even a little better than last January, and we got decent temps, but our payroll is probably half of last year and we are fulfilling double the orders for other stores. We got scolded for our QTCs being too high, but now we are running out of books for our students and now we are the store that is taking books from other stores before our re-orders come in.

I guess the good news is that our RM who has been working super-hard from his couch will probably get a bonus for all the cuts;)

Every store manager I know feels like they are literally dying. No sales of our own, but we certainly have to fill everyone else’s orders. Worked to death.

Worst they can do is fire you, they won't appreciate you, and, at the end of the day, they'll let you go in a heartbeat as you're s—ing up the family's dividends.

Look at the IT team they're throwing under the bus at Software. Decades of experience and top performance that's now perceived as s—ing up the family's dividends. Buh-bye.

Hey, at least you get temps. We're supposed to run our entire store during rush with 2 people. Sorry to any stores whose orders get routed to us. Lol.

Let’s just say that the temp agency is a fantastic idea as proven once again by its flawless results.

Same with ours.
But, yeah, let's keep believing Follett puts the students first.

Our rush started this week. Thanks to the ridiculous online order system, we cut orders for books, only to ship them to other stores a day later, and have little left for our own customers. Follett s—s.
