Sad, but true. Over the many years I have worked at Macy's, I have accumulated many "work friends", people I enjoy seeing and working with, but only one or two that I have seen socially outside of the work place- or even desire seeing. I've been told I am a very friendly person, which I appreciate, but outside of making small talk, or talking politics, or sharing superficial personal information about myself or my family, I don't tell anyone anything of any consequence. I have learned my lesson. As Olivia Dukakis famously said in "Moonstruck": " Don't s__t where you eat."

I’ve worked with some greedy and unethical sales people who always wanted to be the top producers of credit applications, sales, etc.

I always felt that I could trust my co-workers, but never management.

Yup was given the advice to "trust no one" whenever I first started and they were totally right make nice with co workers that's fine just remember this is still a job and people ultimately have to look out for themselves
