Has anyone ever filed a lawsuit for emotional distress or overworking/loading a particular employee on a team?

I generally don't know why people would complain. If you don't like it, then quit and find a better job. If you can't find a better job, then don't complain. Isn't that the common sense?! Employer pays you for getting work done, they are not paying for entertainment purpose. I know it doesn't sound sweet, but it's the hard truth. I don't know your age, but if you are in your 40s or 50s and still don't get the point, then you get a problem.
No chance. HR is not your friend and will do everything not to help you other than recording the complaint. You will be targeted even worse. Find another department in UHG if you want or look outside as soon as you can. Do not quit. Make them lay you off or fire you. You can get nice unemployment right now and likely for rest of 2021.
It could be you are being set-up for failure. Will be put on a CAP and then termed without severance. Sorry for the bad news but that’s how the company operates.
Only if it’s gender, race or age based. Then it’s discriminatory. But very hard to prove in court. If you go to HR with a complaint you will be retaliated against and you WILL lose. Even more so if you made it to a jury trial UHG will hire an outside firm to lie, move people around and to go after you with a vengeance. I have witnessed this in my former department. Liars and cheats. Best option is to find another job pronto.
