Thread regarding Hitachi Vantara layoffs

(Bad) experiences after HV?

At first I was worried about getting laid off, but now I don’t care what could happen at the end of the month. The HV is becoming a big farce, so the dismissals are less and less tragic.

The colleagues I really loved working with are no longer in this company. They all tell me that they are much better off now than they were before. Actually, is there anyone who after the HV failed to find a better job (or had to accept a worse one)?

Lucky them. I had a total nightmare, being let go just as lockdowns in EMEA were beginning to bite, nigh on 50-60 job applications with not one reply. Only now, almost a year on, are things beginning to right themselves. 2020 was the year of being screwed on absolutely everything. Job, severance, and the eventual new role I took then left (was too much of a downgrade and, culturally, not a great fit with me) when I was open with HV how I was also suffering personally as well. A massive F U to BSo and SMc for almost tipping me over the edge, not that they care, nor if they even knew my name.
