20% reduction in the sales force head
Changes to compensation plan
Migration toward inside account managers
10% reduction in product team head count
Consolidation of office space.

Well, U.S. Higher Ed courseware sales were down 13%, so its a pretty easy math problem to see how many people will be let go.
Nothing to be concerned with here as we know Pearson considers its people their greatest resource. Even as we speak, leadership in conjunction with HR are looking at ways to attract and retain top talent and foster an environment of innovation to best serve students.
Just kidding, they're trying to figure out how to rate you all as nothing more than an average performer so they can give everyone the same modest merit increases that don't keep pace with inflation or industry standards. And even with that, they'll still have to be job cuts because an arbitrary and not at all realistic goal was set and missed for the year....again.
So act surprised...leadership will!
