Who else thinks that since we’re all working from home, I truly believe the company should be paying for my home internet and cable tv since we can’t come to the office. I need the cable tv to watch the cable news to keep an eye on stock prices, msnbc, etc. All my friends companies are doing this so I think ours should to.

Wow, just sitting on the pot catching up on news and specifically layoff news. I retired from Southwest a few years ago. Y’all’s leader is bad. Really bad. He once came out to one a my drill rigs and started pushing buttons and levers like he owned the joint. Was with some others in suits and hard hats. Then he asked where the washroom was and apparently messed that up too. SMH....
Going to church tomorrow. Gonna put a prayer request that our executives do the right thing and not have any more layoffs.

Look at the history of this board...layoff “predictions” have continually been wrong, causing you to needlessly worry and lose sleep. These are sour people with nothing better to do that try to make you afraid. These are shallow people. Focus on doing your best every day and controlling the things you can control.
How pathetic would someone post guess you were work. Leave this board. I could not sleep last night. With the upcoming layoffs how will we know when we get the layoff notice? Will it be remote? At office? I splurged for my kids over Christmas and have some dental work for my teenager. Will we get insurance? Can we keep our job? Call me worried as I am sure all I who read this are.

Who all besides me is ready to see the couple dozen people that regularly post to this board get a pink slip. They must not have any the better to do than stir the pot and get all of us riled up with worry. I know my job is safe cause I was told so. Ironic I have to make this post but my boss has tasked me to keep him updated on latest layoff information. This board is solid intel. Thanks and good luck to those laid off next week!

Laid off today. In Spring. Probably for the best. Not sure if there were others. Definitely not done in a “mass setting”’. Will be on payroll through January and a couple months of severance. Just bought a new Prius so that could be returning.
Are layoffs happening in the northeast today? I’m being told they are. Here in Spring folks are starting their Zooms. I was advised to use a pink “virtual background” to make sure the message of termination is loud and clear.
When we merge with the PA E&P will we be laid off or will their employees. I feel like we have more talent and expertise. Just look at what where we are today. Amirite?!!!!

This is true as I know they did this last week at least once to test technology and process. I knew the three from each office that were laid off remotely. Is this what Corporate America has become? Pathetic!
