Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

Our position in the global digital learning market?

I am reading some analysis of how much of an impact the pandemic has had on the global digital learning market. Am I the only one who thinks that Pearson isn’t making full use of this momentum and chance?
I think the company can harness that growing potential much better and that the competition is doing it better than we are. I may not be right, but that is my personal impression.
And yes, if someone thinks that this has nothing to do with layoffs - it all really has to do with layoffs, because employees are the first to be affected by the bad business moves and missed opportunities.

I started at McGraw Hill a couple years ago and we are having a good year. McGraw isn’t perfect but their products are easier to use which makes for happier customers. They really work at making customers have a great experience while at Pearson management talked about improving customer experience but nothing seemed to change.
The biggest difference is the Reps spend more time selling The internal systems are better designed and easier to use and they don’t make it complicated going after new business and getting simple tasks completed.

Listen—there is NO reason why Pearson shouldn’t have record sales this year. None, zip, zero.
Declining enrollment doesn’t matter....
Almost every non digital user had to move to a digital product or platform.
There should be a massive windfall....but, there will not be.

The reason is pure and simple: TERRIBLE management.
