belk can do away with $180,000 a year RVP’S, they are a waste of money.

If RVP’s had a larger number of stores Belk could eliminate a few of those positions and give hourly associates their 38 hours a week and more than 10-30 cent raises.

I’m sure they are a knowledgeable resource but Belk is NOT successful is the only issue. If Belk was pulling in sales like Target, Wal Mart then maybe yea, they could justify spending that amount of cash for someone to tell you where to put a fixture of Kim Rodgers T-shirts, but when the company can’t even give full timers 32 hours at $10 an hour and can’t provide a/c in the summer I don’t think paying $180,000 for someone like this makes much business sense.
I can’t imagine for our manager and management team to not have our RVP. She/he deserves every penny and is a knowledgeable resource for our store’s success. Management and employees. Come on!
