Thread regarding Ford layoffs

The Crash of Ford starts here

Ford Motor Co., still feeling the effects of a pandemic-induced production shutdown early in the year amid a major overhaul of its vehicle lineup, reported U.S. new-vehicle sales were down 9.8% in the fourth quarter of 2020 and down 15.6% for the year.

The results in part reflect the ongoing changeover to the new model year of the Blue Oval's best-selling, profit-rich F-150 pickup truck; the redesigned 2021 model is currently being delivered to dealerships. For the quarter, Ford's truck sales were down 12.5%; F-150 sales were off by 32.7%, the automaker reported.

Beginning of some real bad news that our leadership team is unprepared to address.

Ok JF will need to step up to the plate now that he has the keys to the ship. JF has to decide management path does he follow?
1) Bill Ford - Who has demonstrated he is a nice guy but in way over his head when it comes to running a Auto Company. Family members nearly dumped the preferred stock in spring of 06.
2) Alan Mullaly - Proven leader. Provided a vision & plan everyone understood from a line worker to wall St.

Mark Fields had a chance to study both of them. And many feel he stayed the course Alan set up. This Star Trek stuff we dive into has people scared. simply that is not our cup of tea. We are not a software company but a car company. Farley body language scares me . He does not come across as believable. Show a passion not watching your eyeballs read a prompter!

If Farley still plans to "beat Chevy on the head with a bat" he'd better buy himself a Louisville Slugger and a Silverado, because this isn't gonna do it.
