Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

4 and 5 chats required now. So far behind.

This morning our leader informed us that we would be upping our required chats handled at a time from 3 to 4 or 5 in the coming weeks to stay in acceptable performance standing. I don't even have the monitor space to do this. There are hundreds of chats holding and clients are livid. We don't know how much more of this we can take. Maybe they shouldn't have laid off so many in our area. Leadership is out of their minds if they think this new sweat shop style if work will be accepted and tolerated.

Literally the only positive about the 800 chats holding per day is agency support is severely understaffed and job security. We don't even have quality reviews anymore because so many positions were eliminated

I am not the OP but I assume it is a fellow member of agency support. We were told similar in our huddle Monday. Expectations and requirements are changing. They laid off a lot in our areas and the blond fake running this area and her minions just let it happen. Now they crack the whip and claim since we remained we accepted the workload. The feedback I am receiving from agents is all bad and they are not happy. I have more than I can handle right now. Hubby told me it is not worth my health and mental strain but we must live and eat.

They want more production, but cannot handle the work themselves.

It’s just as bad with auto inspections. They are giving us more and more work . Cars have been sitting at shops and towyards for over 10 days without us inspecting them by virtual assist or photos . They expect us to Work 10-12 hours a day In front of our laptops nonstop without a break .

Your point about leadership being out of their minds says a lot. Unfortunately that’s not leadership it’s just a few of the fatter sheep leading the lambs to slaughter. Best of luck to you and everyone else on the front lines. You’re going to need it. Severity is on the rise and customers are already starting to vote with their wallets by taking their business elsewhere. Of course that’ll just give them another reason to lay more people off.

Hate to break it to ya.. but you guys ARE putting up with it. And as long as they can find desperate enough people to work in that environment they will continue doing it. With the economy the way it is I think they will be able to get away with it for some time to come.
