The sentiment is the same here in Singapore. The trust in the Company had plummeted to zero. I worked for EM for 30+ years and believed so much in the Company and I was always proud to tell people that I worked for EM. Now I dared not even mentioned I worked for EM. I have myself only to blame, I guess for putting all my life in EM. Take care guys and all the best to you. We have to move on.
DW gave himself and his underlings bonuses in 2020. Karma isn’t a thing.
As much as I abhor DW and his underlings and so many of the fake, immoral people at XOM who will lie and backstab to get ahead (shout out to Controllers), it’s pretty unreasonable to think you can have a job for life. There’s no union and XOM isn’t the government. They will do whatever they need to do to make money. If that means moving jobs because labor is 80% cheaper in South America and Asia, that’s what they’ll do.
Exxonmobil still hired those let go for a career. It was just shorter than most. Take the experience and move on if you are laid off. It's a blessing in disguise, the ones staying are dealing with the torment.
That was the reason I chose ExxonMobil. Hire to retire. Now I am without a job wondering how to feed my family.
If mantra exists, he is going to got what he deserves for blatantly lying through his teeth and throwing some of the best workers in the ditch.
Many of my coworkers share the same sentiments. Loss all credibility he had.. I am certain he is aware of it, and is trying to milk as much as he could before he is asked to leave.. (retire)
