Agree with post on no layoffs this week. All layoff names are tallied. When I had to layoff staff in 2016 had to vet thru leadership. Make the case. Same this time around but will be easier. We know who views this site and your name is on the list. We need high performers only to “win” in 2021.
No layoffs this morning. We’ll seent what this afternoon brings. I’m in West Virginia.
Asking for a friend, but did anyone else get a grey Patagonia sweater vest for Christmas? And if so, do you plan to wear it every day in order to shield yourself from being laid off?
No layoffs this week.
Do all the managers have their pre layoff requirements completed? I wonder if any managers are getting laid off this week too?
As a manager of staff, I was asked to have my layoff packets completed by Jan 05, even if that required work over the Holidays. I did work a little pre Christmas and New Years Eve. Buttoned up all loose ends this afternoon. My Director will be happy that my work is done coming into the big Monday meeting. I have made sure I haven’t selected too many older people or people of color to lay off.
It all adds up for downsizing aka layoffs if you look at where we are today. Montage acquisition, over paid under performing CEO, moving out of Spring office due to floor space bought by another MAJOR Spring based company, third party staffing report completed in October and other indicators. Honestly the sheer number of views by all my fellow employees tells each other we all know what and when layoffs will happen. January 2021! Thoughts and prayers to all as I am heading to church now for a prayer meeting for our company and country.
