My 10 year management member approached me on New Years Eve and asked if it was true that the temp workers were making more money than her. Even though I completely hate it, I had no reasonable response. I could not look her in the eyes and justify this company’s distain for its long term employees.

The hourly rate for temps and of temps is different. The hourly rate can be as much as $20plus but the temp may only get $10-$12 of that. The other money goes to the agency. Ensure that the rate is their pay and not the agency rate.
As a store manager level 1, I was making $16.89/hour, probably less if all the hours I put in was computed, LOL.
If you live in a "at will" state they can let you go no matter what your position is and with no reason.I think the ridiculously higher wage for temps is a slap in the face to the crews in the stores that come in on a moments notice, leave when its slow and genuinely care about the colleges and its students. Most of the instore teams don't get enough hours to receive benefits. Salaried managers wages include the PTO, insurance and guaranteed hours which is why its called a compensation package. I highly doubt any temp is making that much. Although I could be wrong. But the part time staffs in the store are the ones who are really getting reamed
What state are you in? My ASM is making almost $16. So it might not be accurate for everyone that Temps are making more.
So sad, so so sad...
Temps 13.50
But temps are not guaranteed long term hiring and no PTO and no benefits. They can be let go at any time with no severance and no explanation. If being a temp is so great, why are not employees quitting and jumping on the temp bandwagon?
What's the hourly rate for temps?
