Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

In a Nutshell

Stankey walked into his first Town Hall with HBO and their Leader for 2 Decades and told them they were doing everything wrong. The creators of Sopranos, Game of Thrones, 6 Feet Under, Deadwood, s-x and the City and the list goes on was doing everything wrong while the newcomer from Telco knew much better. He said the marketplace needs less quality and more quantity. Said this to the guy and staff that built it into an American Icon Brand of must see television of the highest quality. Stankey and Stevenson will go down as two of the worst CEO's of all time of high market cap companies. Once could argue that the Tmobile, Direct TV, and Time Warner Debacles have cost shareholders upwards of $200B in the past decade.

Was Stanky able to compose himself in those meetings, or was he doing his typical screaming routine at HBO execs?!

"That's nuts!"

Maybe, but every word the OP wrote about that Town Hall is, sadly, 100% true. It has been well-documented by numerous public news sources - both financial and employee - and has become the trade mark of The Stank, i.e. "I know more than you no matter what you know."

As for The Stank costing shareholders, etc. over $200B account his "enlightened and forward-thinking" decisions, well, probably somewhere in the neighborhood . . .
