I broke the screen on one of the new ones and almost had a panic attack till I realized no on really cared its still usable just very battered in fact we still use it. I was gonna install BYOD but didn't like the add on saying they had the right to search your phone. I know my managers wouldn't do that but it rubs me wrong.
U guys still use tc70s? We have the new handhelds...can't remember what they are. People break them all the time. Our gms philosophy is accidents happen. Just own up and come forward and you don't get coached.
@nli Great post. Good for you for standing up for yourself. More people need to do so.
Do they still try to get you to use your personal cell phone to do your work with? They tried with me and I refused. They then tried to coach me for that. Well my phone at the time was a cheap and barely a smart phone. I called the attorney general in my state and they responded immediately and guess what. The next day at the morning cheer session they announced that we shouldn't be using our personal property for tools used by our company without proper compensation. Do you think sams would buy you a new phone if it was broke or damaged? Nope....
