What Happened to Mattel Movies?

Does anyone know what happened to Mattel Movies? There was a new movie announced almost every month for the past two years but I can't find anything at all online about any of them happening. I know the pandemic stopped production for a lot of studios, but it doesn't sound like any of the Mattel movies were in production anywhere. Wasn't there a HeMan movie in production? And a Barbie movie? I also read about American Girl doll, Wishbone, Eight Ball, Matt Mason, Barney and others but I can't find anything out about them now. Did they all get canceled? Did this group get dissolved or laid off? I thought this was a big deal for Mattel but it seems like its fizzled out completely. When I was there about eight years ago I heard lots of movie talk, but it never happened. Is history repeating itself?

Don’t panic. There is an UNO movie with lil yachty. What were people smoking when they thought that was going to work?

You people talking about Mattel making movies need to wake up. It's not gonna happen. I've been working here for almost two decades and the same movies get talked over and over and nothing happens. Except for AG movies and the Max Steel disaster. Focus on something that will actually happen and forget about Hollywood just like it has forgotten about Mattel.

That's still the plan and still the rhetoric. To the OP, I think it's a road of good intentions but it leads back to Matt-hell. I think everyone wants movies but no one seems to know how to make it happen. Sure, there's a pandemic now, but not much was happening except announcements before the pandemic. It's just typical Mattel BS. Until the leadership under Y-Not changes, nothing else will.

Is there still talk about the Mattel Films division, ongoing film projects, transforming Mattel from a toy company into a transmedia entertainment company coming from the CEO et al during internal communications? I left in 2018 not to long after the current CEO was hired and that's all he ever seemed to talk about, as if was his sole business strategy to turn things around. Several years later, with nothing to show for it, has he shifted his rhetoric or is that still the short term plan?

I know you are trying to stir things up. But since there is a pandemic going on, most studios are not actively shooting or producing at the moment. Other established studios have made announcements about their future productions, only to have them delayed or sc-apped due to current affairs. There are plenty of other 'announcements' that one could use as an example of poor Mattel leadership.
