Thread regarding Ford layoffs

How many of us are working on Thanksgiving?

I hope my leadership appreciates me working instead of spending quality time with my family.

OT sign off is rubber stamped by management layers.
It is all a sham a bunch of pigs at the troughs.
IT malpractice FTW.

I took vacation this week. Our management allowed people to leave at noon on Wednesday if it didn't have any impact on program timing. Outside of manufacturing, I'm not sure who is mandated to work Thursday and Friday. UAW, contract and purchase services have different work rules. Salary personal have to have sign off by several layers of management to get paid OT.

The real question is how many will claim they worked OT on holiday weekend?
That is the game in our area. Manufactured “emergency”, open a group Webex call for 16 hours to “resolve” the “emergency”. Nine people get 16 hours of OT pay.
Management should wise up and deduct from people’s pay for fake crisis creation instead of rewarding it.
This racket has been going on for years. We have one guy who purposely causes jobs to fail so he gets OT every weekend. And yes the LL6 and LL5 are aware. One guy on our team reported the abuse and he was told by LL6 and LL5 to keep his mouth shut, he was then relocated to a different group because he was a “trouble-maker”. The OT abuse increased after that as more people started generating fake OT and comp time.

Most Ford employees aren't working an eight hour day any day of the week, I don't believe anyone is working on a holiday.
