Does anyone think those still loyal to the company have it? I mean it would make sense considering how badly we’ve all been treated, especially frontline workers. How else would you explain such devotion? It can’t be for the pay, everyone knows it’s barely enough to support yourself. Stockholm Syndrome is the only logical explanation.

It really depends on what role they have in the company. For those hourly or union employees they are just riding out the wave to see where they land. They don't have much vested in the company they are here just for the paycheck. They have seen the revolving door of managers so they are not phased by much. As long as they get their weekly checks they are good. For the mid level managers they are getting the bulk of the pressure to perform. They too only care about the car they get to drive for free and occasional "way to go" from their bosses. If a better gig were to surface they would be gone but Hertz has set in their mind this is as good as it gets. For the VP's they are living the life of wanting to be important. Thinking WOW Paul really see how great of a leader I am and I am going places. When in reality these flunkees have no value that is why they are with Hertz
I agree.
I think people also need to believe in something and feel that they have to do a good job.
It's contradictory...doing a good job when your employer is lying all the time.
There is also a mechanism of denial that the company we are working for is c-ap.
I believe people often act like sheeps.
History has shown it.
Very few stand for their opinions and fight for justice.
Sadly...
That's why the people that manage can deal with being mediocre.
If the people were more demanding, lies would not last long.
