Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

I call BS

Does anybody see a problem with the statement the company released, especially this part:
"Our business continues to perform well during this period of unprecedented uncertainty, and we are focused on taking the appropriate steps to deliver on our long-term goals?"

If we are performing so well, then why did we need all these layoffs? What kind of company lays of its loyal employees when it's doing "well?"

All these cuts to maintain underutilized office space like in Charlotte, and no one even reports to the office. We will never receive an honest response as to why this had to happen now or when it happens in the future. I just hope they handle it with more class.

2 words-Eliot Mgt They are pulling the strings on the Puppet called Jay Brown. They blasted the company's direction publicly, got rid of the board and COO and I am sure they were the driving force behind the layoff's in order to get the ROI they want, so much for Crown's 3 B'S Eliot Mgt told Brown to jump and he's up there above the net with Lebron James! Do you thing there will be any transparency on who/why individuals were downsized? Of Course not, Mgt will never explain that one. VP'S, do nothing Directors get to stay, hard working employees are gone. One Director manages 1 person! 5 reps get downsized in Tampa yet they have an opening posted for a rep in Tampa. We have a dozen recruiters here yet hardly any jobs posted, yet we have one Human Resources Generalist that no one can get a hold of. Mismanagement at it's best!

One where they need to cut costs but keep all their friends in place..get rid of the small guys performing the work and keep the structure top heavy as usual. Tons of VPs, positions with titles that make no sense, and yet they posted a ton of jobs hiring on the day the layoffs took place.
