Is it possible to move from GTS (newco) to IBM nowadays?

GTS employees forced into involuntary redundancy will be afforded a chance to move to IBM proper in Mar 2021.
There currently is a 6 moth no move from GTS in place, while mgmt figures out the NewCo split. You can try but I was on a call, about a month ago, where HR stated 'GTS moves' are currently frozen for 6 months. I also saw a recent job opportunity, that stated external candidates only... seriously!
IBM 'account' is busy playing musical chairs as it is...my guess is you would have to be in the US and have decent connections
Why? NewCo is better than OldCo!
