What happened to this once vibrant and informative community? Now days I hardly ever see any new posts and the few post that are made hardly ever get any replies. It's so sad to see what's become of the once great The Layoff Mattel board.

"Sure there are the disgruntled that will come on to complain about the VPs." - name ONE who is good at Mattel........
If it's Mattel, it's swell.
When this site is quite it means all is well. Sure there are the disgruntled that will come on to complain about the VPs. But when the site is quiet it is a good thing.
Working from home shows mattel that they don't need the office space to carry on. we will all be outsourced. Besides, we make c-ap.
Things will continue to deteriorate in terms of quality product and people as long as the handsome high level fella has the keys to the castle. Don’t get in his way or make him look even slightly less than perfect or else. Once the even higher level fella stops lusting after that golden boy, things might get better. If that ever happens...more likely the golden boy gets rid of his benefactor first.
- or, Mattel remains #1 and growing share all over the world....
Opinion or fact?
Why can't the C-suiters also be outsourced to China?
Nobody cares anymore. Everyone with talent and/or brains is long gone and off doing great things elsewhere. The remaining sheep are too timid to risk posting here. Everyone I ask swears they are working harder from home. A canned defensive response to promote self importance. Mattel is slowly learning though. Learning that the whole corporate structure (except the cesspool club of C-suiters) can be downsized and jobs outsourced to Chinese vendors. Prepare for massive layoffs in 2021, next year will be worse than 2020.
calm before the storm
More important is what’s happened to creating and producing good toys?
no news is good news, or calm before the storm?
