You need to read the post. It says part of the program
Being part of the program is not the same as being selected. Everyone under 52 with few exceptions is part of the program. Those over 52 need to have 12 years of service to not quality to be in the program.

Both conditions have to be met. A colleague is 52 but 11 1/2 years as of Jan 31st. She was informed she is part of the involuntary program.
So to be In the bucket it’s 52 and 12 years of service by the end of Jan 2021.
What about 52+ with less than 12 years with XOM?
I believe you have to be 52 years old by January 31st 2021 to be considered NRE. I know someone who barely made the cut off.
