Utilgi north sky and cannon are all part of the problem doing crappy work for cheap destroying the plant with there hack work the company will try to rehire u for 26bucks maybe and no benefits of any kind so they can make even more money we should all stick together signs on every street corner is a good idea post it on every social media everything lots of Americans will not like what they are doing laying people off we need to get the word out
And for you employees not on the chopping block happy it’s not you and thinking it won’t be you it will be you next time , we all need to stand together and forget the union they are helping the company keep you calm tell the end we need to fight this and if we can’t win make the company worth nothing corporate America screws the little guy always well maybe we should screw them for once cause you will be next I had 75 people under me 10yrs ago not now
The employees have the people just like the people of America have the power we can if we are together destroy the company like they have destroyed our living we should not go quietly by any means that’s what they want we run the company we do the work they just collect the check everyone should be very very angry not weak and quiet
To have a fiber optic network you need fiber to be connected in hand holes and manholes and for contractors to do the work when we are gone they need to be able to have tags on cables to read and they need to have records to rely on if none of those exist they have no customers or business and ceos can’t get paid millions never know when antifa will strike haha

Company is really disorganized overworking the employee giving no raise. They going down due to their wrongdoing such as cutting costs causing poor customer satisfaction. Thinks employees are super cops.

No matter which company you work for CTL , Level3 or Lumen you're all doomed. Clean up your resume and get ready to jump ship before it sinks right out from underneath you.

They have been laying off every year since 2002/3 or earlier ... basically since USWEST Qwest merger

Well this one is fairly easy. The segment known as CenturyLink will file bankruptcy and cease to exist. There is nobody dumb enough or Rich enough to buy it. Outside plant and Antiquated equipment has made it uneconomical for anybody to buy and try and run for a profit.
The two fiber companies will continue to exist and be a transport only company. They will keep a skeleton crew in place essential to install and maintain the equipment. Any installations and trouble will be handled by crowdsourcing such as Field Nation or Work Market where people are willing to work at a fraction of the cost.
Layoffs will continue on a regular basis as they Whittle what's left down to nothing. Rest assured there is a master plan already in place and they are not just winging it like you think they are.
CenturyLink at some point will completely leave the CPE market or sell it. They are just letting it die on the vine. When all is done it will be a transport company with some fiber residential areas unless they sell them off. Most field employees should have an exist strategy in place.
CenturyLink like all old phone companies are dying a slow death. Its not necessarily the management fault but technology has made it obsolete. They could of been Google but mistakes made years ago prevented that. Fiber to the prem will be around for awhile but the need for people to work it will decrease. There are a lot of companies doing this. They will continue to downsize for the foreseeable future.
They sh–canned quite a few people already this month. Moving much of support over to India/Poland. Many companies are jumping ship since you get what you pay for and also due to security concerns. The UK is losing customers in droves as well. In the US don't ever take time off for emergencies or they'll pick you for to run off first.
Count on them... every quarter, like clock work!!!
Just read some of these posts and if you can’t understand what is happening then I don’t know what to tell you! This company is going down hill fast. There will be a lot more layoffs in 2021! Guaranteed!
