Will there be any Mattel Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

If by let go you actually mean promoted...
Who was let go from fp? What departments?
15 employees have just been laid off from the Fisher Price facility in East Aurora. Yep - right before the bonus!
"One simply cannot be fired for slowly answering emails and not fitting in without also delivering performance related issues." Huh?
You absolutely can be terminated for ANY reason or NO reason at all, it's called At Will Employment.
This thread and website are for layoffs, not terminations.
One simply cannot be fired for slowly answering emails and not fitting in without also delivering performance related issues.
Lastly, unemployment insurance is for people who lose their jobs related to factors that are not within their control. Like a global pandemic.
They just terminated a copywriter with no severance because he didn’t respond to emails in a timely manor. This person was employed at Mattel for 18 years and probably didn’t fit the CD perception mould. Now, this person now can’t even file for unemployment insurance since this person was fired. A very callous way of cutting costs while the executives profit. CD is a POS, and hopefully karma will catch up to him.
Y'all know the 'executives' on 15th floor are all receiving huge holiday bonuses, right? Well over six figure bonuses. But the worker-bees have to wait until March for their pittance, if any.
I never said the bonus was guaranteed. The only guarantee you have working for Mattel is you will be fired at some point. Onward (to another company)
“Before the bonus” - bonus is not guaranteed so no one should act entitled to it
Mattel and Fisher Price are a joke. Get out.
Hasbro is kicking your a–.
LEGO once a piece of plastic is kicking your a–. Wake up. Miss Management is the only thing you have become number 1 in.
There are always layoffs in March before the bonus.
No. Great year ahead.
Giant bonuses for the executives will arrive just in time to save the holidays for them, b/c you know how they have to pay mortgages on multiple houses, etc., life is SO stressful for those higher ups, after all, they have maids and private chefs to pay! ...... followed by spring-cleaning layoffs of the grunt workers in the second quarter.
