At least in technology consulting and outsourcing firms run the place, courtesy of hiring senior execs from Accenture. So if you stay at AIG there’s a good chance you’ll end up as an Accenture FTE.
Most remaining IT folks despise the company as they get credit for any progress whereas in case of setbacks the FTEs are to blame.
AIG dismissed the whole Shanghai Analytical Center. SAC has been considered an outsourcing center until recently. Also the India Analytic Center has been sold.
IS engineers were put to early retirement program. engg/ops transitioned to Accenture
Forced Distribution for performance reviews, constant fear of layoffs, struggle to compete with coworkers who have black and white glossy on management. who needs this, ?? oh and the employee RX program denies my ulcer meds? go figure what's the point in trying anymore?
Does anyone know if workers comp is going to close down?
There is less and less business.
I have heard that RIF's will continue throughout 2021. So pretty much business as usual as we have seen RIF;s on going for several years. Just know that it will happen sooner or later which is sad.
AIG laid off 11 employees in their Travelguard claims area. This includes a manager and a lead.
There have already been RIFs in 2021.

Lay off target is by grade and activities but a lot of more cuts to come in 2021 difficult place to be ...
Funny how you believe they are not laying off people of color. They did it and continue to do so. Very few people of color left.
Yes. Next major rif scheduled for early q2 2021, but little ones scheduled each month. Fine with me. Keep learning new skills on your own and prepare. Unless you're one of the favored classes (everyone not a white male).

Many people are staying counting on the 2 weeks per year. Take that away, why stay? No carrot on a stick is a bad idea. If they are wanting to get ride of the older people without having to pay them the 2 weeks per year of service, that will do it. They will also take the knowledge with them.
Do it....... I hope they do it. I am ready.

Severance package will change in 2021. No more 2 weeks for every year.

Most definitely there will be RIF's in 2021. It's already been planned
AIG to shrink again and 2021 is not going to be better with big hits on travel auto aerospace business and in addition to this L&R selling is going to deeply affect results.L&R was generating 65% of the group results !!!
I heard they want to RIF at least @10,000 employees in 3 years starting with 2020. My guess is they let go like 2000 this year, 4000 next year, then 4,000 in 2022
