We just responded to a client RFP for a F1000 company that required us to write 4 pages on what our company diversity initiatives were. For a commodity IT outsourcing contract that will be staffed 95% from India. Can’t make this stuff up.

@uuk+18 - you are on the money. My days - in the UK - are spent trying to ignore so many initiatives for complaining minorities that it's actually affecting my productivity. Somehow, the genie has been let out of the bottle and people think they are allowed to blow their sociopolitical horns at work. Just shut up and work for God's sake - customers will love you for it.

As per the usual... something for everyone except us mid career dogs that are on the chopping block.

College Intern Initiatives, Diversity Initiatives, Veteran's Initiatives, heck New Collar Training in Zimbabwe... but nothing for those of us that have been slogging in out in the industry for many years (or even decades)...

There wouldn't be a skills gap problem if currency training were part of the existing workforce's training plans...

Thus the serpent queen prepares the way to eliminate the old guard and dump the labor costs of her only monopoly. Hoping these jobs will stay in America. Because if these cheap virgins (ie "new collars") that the lady aspires to and IT-fasters start the process opposite to the H1B to earn a few more pennies and bring know-how to enemies of this nation it will be fun to be deprived also of this our specialty.
