How many of us have become used to the way things are done here? I am numb from the multiple layoffs we’ve had over the years and I don’t even blink an eye when I am denied yet another raise. I am used to the lack of vision our company has and have tolerated the toxic environment that I have grown accustomed to. I don’t even hate working here anymore, I'm just apathetic towards everything.

Qwest, Witel, Frontier, Global crossing, 360 networks, Broadwing, Level3 , CenturyLink ,Integra, Expedia, Embarq, MCI, Abovenet , GTE, Lucent , .... I worked for all of these and one thing they ALL HAVE IN COMMON ....They will lay you off unless you are an indispensable genius ...
How could you not come to work with a negative attitude. Poor performance has nothing to do with the techs.
A guy that used to work with us used to say, if you don't leave before they lay us off, we will all be fighting for the same jobs. If you leave first, there will be less qualified competition. I laughed. But I am not laughing now. I have been trying for six months and there has been more than one interview when i have sat in the waiting room with an ex fellow employee, or one of my old coworkers got the job over me. There is literally no reason to stay. Everyone left I am told is looking to get out, even the die hards who refused to see the end coming.
For me, it's pretty simple. I take care of my customers the best I can with the tools and processes I have at hand. Screw the company.
Ive become numb to it also. I just come to work and do the best job I can do and treat the customers to the best service I’m allowed to perform and go home when my shift is over. Still work with some great guys and I’m lucky we have good local management who are sympathetic to us as we are to them. Step outside that small world and everything changes. Good luck to everyone.

I just want to say the quit then your co-workers will appreciate it is with out a doubt a worthless management troll or pond scum with no morals. You are worth more than these sh–ty people are on a good day. I left and make more and work less.
