What in the world is going on with clear COVID office spread being covered up and/or ignored by leadership? When does science and medics guidelines supersede chasing pennies on our stock price? Doesn’t seem too aboveboard that announcements of cases in the office have to be done verbally now and not in any form of written communication. Wonder why that is...

jThe cleaning is superficial and useless. After office moves for reopening, my new desk was not cleaned at all. junk left in drawers, dust, etc., on the table and station. Working at COP is completely unsafe. Every day, we risk our lives to satisfy the greed of ELT and the board.
You're wrong. RL knows we work just as hard, even harder, at home. It's all about control and no effectiveness. We're an oil company and RL and the board want us to be examples to the country to get back to work and burn oil. Not a bad idea except that they're willing to sacrifice lives to make the point.
COP don't give a F^CK about it's employee's or their families safety. It about the all might dollar.
Because COP spends so much money on cleaning, it’s actually overkill. Hello, you can still get the virus even if you spend millions of dollars on cleaning. It’s simple - since they invest so much on cleaning they refuse to believe that anyone can catch COVID at The COP office. Whoever is running the cleaning show is a complete id–t - have you seen how many times they clean a weight station after one person uses it. We are not babies, we can wipe it down. Whoever is in charge of the cleaning strategy is a complete micro managing id–t. The only way they will back off is if they get Covid. But of course it won’t be at work lol
People, safety, and integrity were sacrificed years ago.

Alaska offices closed again a couple of weeks ago. We are working from home into December at the earliest.
You must come to the office so we can lay you off so you don’t need to come to office anymore. You will get to stay at home all you want very soon.

I work at Oxy and we were just informed that WFH has been extended through at least the end of Q1 2021. Most folks work very effectively from home. You must be disciplined and never forget you are a professional.
Unfortunately, there are a few people who do take advantage of the situation, but they are usually the same slackers you see in the office. Finally, I can say the company definitely gets more work out of me since I'm not stuck in Houston traffic for hours on end.
Concho is still allowing employees to work from home.
Seriously, look at so many oil companies still allowing work from home in Houston area. I know friends from CVX, OXY, Kinder, Eqinor etc who are told to WFH until Q1, 2021. Their management have not seen any evidence of dropping productivity. I wonder when COP is going to realize that people are the biggest assets.
COP is showing itself to be run by greedy scumbags who don’t give two shee-otts about the employees or their families. RL is the pinnacle of selfish, backward thinking, corporate foolishness that will get his people and their families k–led to feed his anachronistic vision of “business as usual”. How dare you want to be safe and productive at home? Get yer behind back to the office and risk your life so he and his lapdogs can feel like big, important businessmens. COP is a sinking ship and RL and his pals are cutting holes in the bottom to let the water out.
It’s never been about science. It’s always been about control. RL knows you work less at home, and so he wants someone babysitting your every move. You do know that your keystrokes are run through a tracking algorithm, don’t you?
