Thread regarding Synamedia layoffs

Changes to be expected?

In many other cases the new CEO comes in to fix problems, so I wonder if there will be any good solutions for the company. I think Synamedia needs some good changes but I'm not sure what to expect from leadership changes at the top. Any thoughts on what is likely to happen? How do you deal with the uncertainty?

I hope all of the finastra people are kicked out, nothing but mismanagement from the banker buffoons.

Operations at this company are in shambles. Bad enough that if it stays as is the place will go bankrupt from being unable to actually do jack sh–.

We need real vision and market understanding, not mba mo–ns cutting the place to irrelevance.

Engineering is carrying a massive amount of fat. Many senior people was past their time and ability. Still no money being made from product - it’s all carried by legacy. The product is basically a huge monolith that the big guys won’t buy because it’s not flexible and the small guys can’t afford.

Only way to survive is to lose out most of the engineers and start again. Be strong.

Still some thanks needed to the departing CEO, who according to the press release leaves you as a "market leading" business (!).

No one ever fails in these jobs, even when they fail.

Just another hand puppet for Abe to direct. Think about HABIGER THE CEO IN NAME ONLY JUST BEFORE THE DISASTER i.e. the sale to Cisco. This chap is here to fatten the calf.

whenever we've had a new CEO that is followed by adjustment of the L1s and a little bit of reorg in L2 and below. I fully expect the new guy will also want to bring in some of his team. So some changes are expected in L1s. By the time he has his team and is beginning to understand the business a new CEO will come along ;-)
