Many Ford executives leaving in a short period of time.... what is going on?

First Shanks, Klevorn, Hinrichs, now Stone, Hackett, and Lemmer.

If you're talking about Klevorn and Project Everest, that wasn't her fault. She was dragged from Ford Credit in a last ditch attempt to save that FUBAR of a project, and it was too late. Ford IT shot themselves in the head when they went with that iTek concept trying get $1 worth of IT for ten cents.

Sharif? You mean the only minority in the mix? It’s ok - He can walk in and out the company as much as he wish. #DoTheWalk #Continue

@8uyu, I thought he took a leave of absence from mobility. He came back and they made him in charge of the Covid task force.

Oh yeah, and we missed Fords on-and-off relationship Sharif Marakby. First he quit and went to Uber. Then they literally begged him to come back to Ford. After joining, in a few months Ford SRDd him. WTF?? Like really W...T...F.....? Talk of being revengeful. "You quit and go to other company, we will show you the carrot, and when you are close, shove the very same carrot in your you-know-what"

The Sh–show does not end there. Ford again asked him to come back on contract and he again either quit/was let go, to go and work for Magna.

I really dont like calling Ford names, but I dont think you will be able to find such sh_tshow, for people that high up, in ANY major corporation, ANYWHERE in the world. ANY period.

Marcy was also in charge of some other epic failure IT projects.
She had a habit of surrounding herself with snake oil salesmen. Many tried to steer her projects to success but she was so enamored with the snake oil salesmen that she ignored the experts.

One epic failure was converting a major system off of the mainframe. Too bad she did not listen to sound advice as her epic failure means we are still on the mainframe today.

Most of these executives leaving are a good thing for Ford. Klevorn spent billions on smart mobility and bailed. Spoiler alert, that part of Ford will never generate a profit.

The Ford family doesn’t know what they are doing. Bills a nice guy and plays Hockey with the pee ons and such. But cares more about social correctness and being green than designing and manufacturing vehicles. Hey Bill when trump wins and rolls back the cafe standards you will be left with the Bill for eco boost , and all the ultra high strength steels and the processes to form them. O bummer led you to your ruin.

@4ehi+17yJXhU6 ......

ROFL......
Speaking of duplicity, hypocrisy and irony - I was once asked by a Director to write a speech for him for a MBA class where he was invited as a speaker, and he asked me to copy parts from another Directors speech. THE BIGGEST JOKE??????? it was a speech on BUSINESS ETHICS.

You missed Bradley Grayton. Highest ranking black man left in the middle of Diversity week.

Needed to make room at the top for Bill and Edsel's kids.

Out of OP list Shanks was the most effective leader. I don’t know why he left, the rumor was Hackett and team were wanting to shift to Silicon Valley startup accounting methods (placing big bets on data collection and selling customer data) and were proposing over leveraging the company to scary levels - and that Shanks opposed the precariousness of their plans. Shanks was always a voice of reason so the rumor ran true. And we see what happened under Stone.

Hindrichs lost the advancement battle with Farley.

The rest no real loss to the company.

Ford has a leadership crisis. I look around and I only respect 1 LL6 in my department, I don’t respect any of the LL5, LL4 or LL3. They are all good at appearing to be busy and understaffed. One LL5 makes PowerPoints Presentations every time he wipes himself. Many of the LL6 couldn’t find their behind to wipe even with two hands and a flashlight. They are all so insecure that they hire incompetents so the GSRs are just like the LL6.
I hope Farley does a proper house cleaning in December.

All these people listed landed softly on their feet with their golden parachute (assuming they did not have a d–g addiction or were a degenerate in their personal life). No sorrow here. Farley strikes me as the paranoid type, and it is grounded because you have up and comers looking to knock you off the mountain. Jury is still out with what he will do; but if his underlings fail him be rest assured he will make working for him a living hell. I see that fire; can see the guy coming from a mile away. Alan was different; he struck me as the guy you would never see coming and likely why he was effective in his tenure. You go to level 10 on every issue the rank and file get burnt out and no longer know how to respond appropriately to "real" issues.

Think most of it was clearing the way for Farley (Marcy and Joe), as it is obvious now that Hackett was always a placeholder. Shanks I have no idea why he left; Lemmer I think is leaving cause he has no cover anymore since Marcy left, and it is lonely for him, as he is the last of the holdovers at that level from Allan & Mark’s tenure NOT named Farley.
Normal stuff when administrations change...but does point to how difunctional it is at the top of Ford. Then again, that seems to be one of the unspoken Ford truths....

Company is in a spiral of driving executives and with the passion and knowledge of the automotive environment, with a deep understanding of product knowledge and manufacturing requirements. Place is just a sh– show today, were someone serving Starbucks last week, can be named Director within FMC today.
