Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

New at Intel

New at Intel with senior engineer pay level but without the senior in the job title. Is it looked down upon by my team if I put senior on my LinkedIn? I need to show that I made progress from the previous role and this wasn't a lateral move.

I would never embellish what my title is on Linkedin. or anywhere for that matter. It's lying.

I would never ever mess with that, put whatever your title in on orgtree.xxx.xxx or you leave skeletons in the closet

What ever your title is at intel is what you should use in your LinkedIn profile and resume. If you go for another job and they contact intel they will likely state your official grade level.

If I interviewed you and you lied I would not hire you and if I found out afterwards I would terminate on the spot. No severance.

You are not supposed to know anyone’s grade level.

Show a little humility. I, too, sense an Indian mentality. Put your head down and just perform. Your colleagues will figure out if you are “Senior” or not.

OP here. Not clueless at all. Those that are here for layoff info or are searching for jobs elsewhere know how the title label is affecting their job search. I'm looking to see if they changed their LinkedIn title to be more in line with other companies' levels.

Been through multiple layoffs myself over the years and have given advice to new hires on this site.

This must be a troll. Nobody can be this clueless about posting something like that in this forum. Know your audience id–t.
