The reason he did not look into the camera and speak is because he was reading from a script. It is one thing to have notes and another thing to read from a script. If you don’t look into the camera and speak your mind then it is hard to trust the speaker.

Yea this shows us the true leadership quality of GK. He uses some euphemism to describe the elimination of jobs and has a shady nature. Sounds similar to people who would lure you in with trust and then unconsensually penetrates you.
