For those of you who passed the PIP like me are you figuring out your exit strategy or sticking around? It feels quite strange as in there’s nothing much to celebrate with the upcoming layoffs and nobody’s job is really safe especially those of us who were PIP-ed.

Pass or fail, the PIP is just the paper trail to justify your layoff. Be prepared
Your PIP will linger with you for the next 3-4 years (if you stay that long).
A PIP means that you were already the worst in your team - analyze (and fix) why is that.
Passing pip just makes you an easy target for your next manager to throw you under the bus and get rid of you. PIP'd a second time means you are forced into PIL. Next years ranking cycle is starting very soon. If I was PIP'd and passed, I'd be very worried about the chopping block next year with both the threat of layoffs and PDS.
They wouldn't have passed you if they didn't want to keep you I think. I didn't make it and lost my job on sept 2.
If your role is critical maybe at an operational site, you have a better chance to remain employed else you will have problems.
I think your ranking will definitely improve since you fulfilled the terms of the PIP and are back in good books.
PIP shouldn't be the end of the world I think.
Get out now. Once a PIP, always a PIP. And with no more safety net, a bad year or a bad mgr and you are gone.
Yep! I passed PIP 3 years ago in a different major - things were never the same afterwards.
You always have a target on your back. Since a PIP means you had no sponsors, everyone wants to take a wack at you. If you cannot change organization internally, game over.

Anyone that passed the PIP will be gone during the next pds cycle or the cuts that are soon to come. You passing pip just means your on borrowed time. You will be gone soon. You are a very easy target. Lol
Bickering on this forum has helped company to make sure that some PIPs are kept. Only untill they found another clever way to get rid of you all.
Keep looking. Your supervisor is not your friend. He/she is a puppet looking for any opportunity to advance his dying career.
I’ve been told I’ve passed as well. Im worried about the layoffs they will do. In the US I’m hoping it’s voluntary. If not then I’m assuming the cuts come from the good and below group.
I’m done listening to rumors, I’m going to keep pushing and adding value. I’m also browsing other opportunities but with 14 years in I’m looking long term and the pension is a pretty big factory now for me.
Thats great. I heard our L2 mention in a meeting once that this year the supervisors and managers are expected to actually make a effort help their low performers be successful, otherwise they get PIPed too.
There was probably a pre-established % of people pip'd who would pass.
Makes it seem fair.
Another benefit is the training your supervisor obtained in cannibalistic torture thought.

Congrats to those who passed! Getting a job while you already have a job is usually easier, and it’s just buying more time which is not bad. Some people got lucky to get jobs right away but it can take a long time. As an example I applied to an Amazon job more than 8 weeks ago and they finally got back to set up an interview.
Was told I passed this week. Same as OP, not feeling well to be honest, nothing to celebrate neither. Self-confidence was demolished 3months ago. thinking or more like worrying about future career in O&G and chemicals in general...
I think official decisions are actually next week, some are just assumptions based on conv with supervisors and we should probably not trust anybody until it’s official next week...

Congrats, you worked really hard to be the first laid off when further cuts are announced as a result of HW3
How can this be, pass/fail decisions are not until next week. And has to be approved by HR next week.
