Forum was good.
I thought the content of the forum was good and informative
"Nimble".
Actually could see that as new corporate motto.
Nimble. Not brittle.
Catchy.
I thought the same! 2050 I WILL still be around, and in fact, I will still be 10 years away from retirement. Scary.
“...2050 when likely none of us will be around.”
It’s clear DW is not acting in the best interest of young employees. The 401K cut hurts us the most as it erodes value of compounding interest. Also unlikely we will ever see a defined pension benefit.
Enough about CSR - though Lee Raymond called it 'the life-blood of the company.'
That has been drained out with ease of an accountant's scalpel.
But you wanted insane quotes from the presentation:
Мы считаем, что эти истины являются само собой разумеющимся. Это дивиденды и ничего больше.
If misquoted, please correct.

It is sad but true for EM that the corporation has extremely backwards mentality. I am at CSR and the company that touts to be doing futuristic research is actually incapable of doing anything worthy. I once asked a lowly supervisor who has zero intellectual capacity to see if we could try some high risk but important project and his answer was let's not take any risks.
He said you know that "our" (his/CSR) strategy is to go to established people (academic faculty in quotes) who already have a successful research program and claim victory by paying money to them (in the name of funding and collaboration) associating our names to it. He said we don't want to go to future stars as their is risk — we stick with established already successful researchers and projects and just go buy them.
Most shocking to me was that we have paused projects in mid-execution but we’ll still execute the projects for the same capital when we restart? ... does he believe that?
I really hope Neil Chapman is in the bullpen.
Reminds me of Apache. Lol.
“We don’t want to commit to doing something until we know how to do it”..like all the steps and how we solved it. How about going to the moon? Or tell that to Elon Musk... it’s almost like why set any goals at all. We are all working on things we don’t know how to do right now but will figure out later or at least most of us... such a backwards mentality. It’s almost like we are giving up.... this company is paralyzed by being afraid to fail or seen as a failure, and this fear is making it more of a reality of what the company is becoming every day
Opening words:
"Standard and Humble Oil. That is where we started. And that is where we are."
I lost track after that when the charleston dancers came out.
Lmao he said that?! What about his grandchildren and great grandchildren?
lol what a miracle of a CEO.
No wonder they need to not invite real people, avoid live streaming, censor and edit the so called "Town Hall"
