Which xbs cores still have active warehouses? Who has been laid off so far? What expected to happen to warehouse employees?

The Xerox all in plan is a joke. Maybe it’s just the experience my customers have had, but out of the 23 I’ve seen come through, only 3 have funded. The rest the customers cancelled due to lack of understanding of the product for their needs. So there is a cost of admin time, warehouse, tech, and logistics time for something that Xerox will never see revenue on. Definitely doesn’t replace sales!
@@fzce+17wGUo0W - they are already doing the online thing with the All In plan. https://allinplan.services.xerox.com/
Just can't wait to see what's next....
So all that is left is service techs, sales and VPs.
Next they will get rid of sales and move that to online orders then service techs changed to robot drones.
I heard Xerox is expanding its warehouses. Xerox needs extra space to store all that paper and machines that no1 will ever use again. High five!
Where will those 10 be located??
Xerox direct just went from 3 warehouses down to 1 warehouse. Be glad XBS will still have 10.
Consolidating down to 10 cores? Why do they exist when customers can order supplies thru Amazon? Why does Xerox need warehouses?
One warehouse in each region. Kiss your jobs good bye west coast.
Well the good news is if covid starts to rise again more offices will shut down and won’t need as many parts and supplies .
Bet your future unemployment checks you won't have a job come January.
aWeSoMe / so even slower and more backordered parts and supplies - cool man
Now former employee at an XBS core. Sounds like they warehouse (at least delivery teams/dispatchers) were safe, were in the middle of training our teams to deliver Xerox direct equipment for our entire territory. I’d imagine it’d save them quite a lot to switch from third party carriers and instead have XBS deliver equipment. Heard a few other cores were in that process as well.
Non Xerox supplies are drop shipped to customer, they are not stocked at XBS warehouses. Parts is in next phase after they finish moving all XBS customer care centers over to Xerox direct/hcl. XBS offices will be Sales only, maybe 1 in house employee for ops/warehouse.
Sales at my core would put a piece of sh– under contract if they could make a buck off it, such a joke, we have printers under contract I have never even heard of literally billing at $5 per month, we are losing thousands and thousands of $$$$, if the damn powers that be paid attention to some of the deals written and saw the revenue loss maybe it would save a job, we have one customer thst we take $150,000 loss on per year and nobody cares......management just s—s!
Most Xerox Direct warehouse people don't actually work for Xerox. They work for Ryder Logistics. I suspect most XBS warehouse people might be rebadged over to Ryder. However, I still have a question: many XBS Cores still service non-Xerox equipment (Konica, KIP, printers (HP, Lexmark, Brother, etc). Those parts and supplies cannot come from Xerox Direct. How would that work?
Once the first XBS and Xerox Direct warehouse merge happens and they finish the pilot, that will be the end of 1 group. I believe they still have a lot of systems to figure out first.
I would assume Xerox will lean towards keeping their carriers rather than XBS.
This is very true. I worked for the warehouse at MT in Ohio. We were very large and centralized in the state. They brought in multiple things to improve our warehouse s— as new racking systems, better picking options, systems and more. Then a year after that, we have a meeting that we are loading everything in trucks and closing the large warehouse that delivers from Cleveland to Toledo down to Columbus. We all lost our jobs or were asked to drive 3 hours to get to another warehouse to work out of there. Xerox does not care about employees.
This thread is not true. I personally just signed a lease to double our warehouse for wider delivery. Inventory and supply chain is being monitored and managed for cash flow purposes. XBS has traditionally overstocked in hopes to "deliver for the month end rush". That's the only difference. The vote is still out if XBS will deliver for direct and agents.
@2axh+17wGUo0W is correct. For many years there was a mix of 8 to10, maybe more, xerox-owned and 3rd party equipment, parts, and supplies warehouses from coast to coast. Then about 4 years ago those were all consolidated to 3 main 3rd party warehouse locations in New Jersey, Texas, and California. Now this month everything is being moved to one warehouse managed by Ryder in the central US.
@2wva+17wGUo0W Wait, you think these are just our ideas?!?! This has been the company’s strategy since 2005. They moved from 3 equip xerox owned warehouses to 2. Then they closed the 7 Or 8 xerox owned supplies warehouses then they closed xerox supplies and spares warehouses and moved to third parties followed by EQ and now They are consolidating XBS. And oh by the way they have moved to a SINGLE distribution warehouse in the middle of the country for EQ spares and supplies. Customer service be damned. Sorry you think we are dreaming this up. It’s been the strategy for a very very long time. Just in xeroxs way it moved very slowly until the new management stepped in.
Here's a path for XBS cores to lose money and fail miserably. Take everything that works and made you successful and move it to Xerox. Great ideas on here!
Equipment will also be moved to the direct supply chain.
Wouldn't doubt it if drivers are let go and replaced with a 3rd party service. All they would have to do is drop off and power up equipment so a remote worker can access the equipment and complete the installation.
Supplies have been on back order, parts too. I see our warehouse employees sitting around with too much time on their hands. But I don't see us losing the warehouse to Xerox that takes them weeks to deliver equipment. Xerox is the 🐢, XBS is the 🐇. Sales would lose deals if customer couldn't get a machine next day or 2. No more demos would be delivered to customer. With that said, the warehouse team can be reduced but not eliminated. Parts and supplies should be shipped from Xerox, same as customers placing service calls, but we all know that process is already taking place.
If you work in a warehouse, trust me your job will be gone....they are not going to keep them all open, it makes no sense to do so, there will be no more XBS employees, you will be Xerox Direct or out the door
I've heard that all of XBS will move over to use some part of the logistics chain on the direct side. I don't know if it will be the existing logistics process or a new one set up just for XBS to use. But it doesn't make economic sense to have multiple cores or warehouses all shipping the same products out to customers and with the current hatchet job they are doing to expenses I can't imagine the current process will stay in place.
I am a warehouse employee for over ten years now and hope someone tells the truth on here. Not fair
How would your warehouse function without employees?
