Chevron to have major layoffs soon

Maybe we can get back on top like this? Then we'll have layoffs and they'll be first again...Rinse and repeat... /sarcasm

Investors don't care about you nor do they care that you got severance on your way out the door. They care that the companies balance sheets are in the green and that the company isn't going to go bankrupt causing the stock price to tank.

It's in Exxon's and the investors best financial interest to pay you as little as possible. 3 months salary seems about right.

Cool. Now go work for them. The markets really don't care how the companies treat their employees.

Chevron is much more transparent. They are actually calling it a LAYOFF, not disguising it like Exxon is. Additionally, Chevron is giving their severed employees a NICE severance.

PIPs, layoffs, same thing. The PIPs are not fake, just by evidence of the many people that have already had their employment terminated.

ExxonMobil is slashing the employee costs plain and simple.

They announced the cuts earlier this year. They are now just finally cutting them. We have done the same with PIPs.
