The writing is on the wall. The Sears folks brought their magic to Follett and now we are nearing the end of Follett.

My store was closed over 5 years ago. Follett was a sh– show then. I check back every few months. It keeps getting worse. I’m surprised they still have contracts. It’s a dead business. I don’t care if this post is removed.
Follett will die a slow death, although it has picked up steam over the past years, especially last year. Death means family doesn't get dividend and is forced to sell and take what they can before it is too late. Anybody care to guess how much sales were down at 3/31 before the pandemic? How much sales are down as of today? What the expectations are for sales in the next year? Schools and governments are under massive debt from Covid. Think they have money for library books etc? And then Follett spends 70m on new ecommerce site just before pandemic. OMG, what great timing.
People have been saying this for years.
And people have been right for years.
How many people have been pushed off the boat to keep it afloat since 2013?
NOT a growing business. Mission Statement - keep the dividends to the family going for as long as possible. So what if you demand one person to do the work of four? They should be happy to have a job!
Don't pick on BF, she was to the manor born. Not her fault. She has no idea what's it's like to be kicked out on the street because you can't pay your rent because you lost your job at Follett after working there for 10 or 15 years. BF and all the family up to what - the 7th and 8th generation DESERVE their dividends. The family doesn't owe you a darn thing!
I quit in March and was still able to collect unemployment in AZ. Just depends on circumstances. Hang on for the layoff if you’re expecting significant severance. Otherwise, not worth it imo.
2015 onwards. Every few months.

Time for us to start packing? Or do we wait to get laid off to claim unemployment? Lol
