We work harder with fewer employees and make profits for this company and get zero raises. They they tell us that we get bonuses though. Bonuses is NOT the same as guaranteed income. All BS. F¥CK YOU GK.
Oh yes, the Digital Solutions "Leaders" get raises all the time. Raises and bigger bonuses, then tell us all "we're lucky we have a job" and BS such as "it's rough out there."
Boo hoo boo hoo
Never once since my smaller company was swallowed up and became a part of Hitachi Vantara 4-ish years ago.
So I quit and DOUBLED my take home. F—- Hitachi!
But which 5 years? I think things have tightened substantially since 2018ish.
The entitlement comes from the 2-3% raise you get everywhere else when you meet expectations. You know, so you're not losing money every year when inflation hits?
Three raises in five years. You must have done a lot of @$$ licking.
I got 3 raises in 5 years when I was there, total about 15% in base pay. I strategically pushed for the raises at the right times and asked the right way. I also worked harder and b–ched less than a lot of my peers. There is a lot of pissing and moaning and entitlement at HV - it's contagious and a contributing factor to why I left.
I worked there 6 years and got three raises. without a** L***cking, but with hard work. and risking of getting sacked twice for saying to the wrong person that was a tool.
Well I have a news flash for you. I found out that pay raises and bonus monies were available and approved by "The Board". And BS stopped it. And then got himself a promotion and most likely a pay raise.
They eliminated salary related questions on surveys years ago. Tells you something right there. This company Is bleeding more red ink each year. It’s only a matter of time before the wheels of the bus come off.
Hitachi is the company that gives money to everyone outside the company instead of inside. All vendors know that they spend money on any consulting services that sound smart. Basically if you're a vendor, pitch to Hitachi since everyone outside knows they will thrown money around and not to their people.
I worked there 5 years, no raise. Quit recently. The general thought process is that because they're making money and they give you quarterly and annual bonus, or, at least were, they didn't seem to think a cost of living raise was necessary and really made the assumption that you thought bonuses should be considered salary, and not bonuses.
They mostly don't. 1/3 of my team has turned over in 1.5 years
wait- how long has this been going on for and how does this company retain any talent
5 years at HV/HDS and got one 2% raise last year, but I had to PUSH hard many times for it.
It is true. I came in via an acquisition and for a while received an annual raise. But once fully incorporated into the Borg that stopped.
In fact, the new leadership (Its hard to keep track of new leadership here.) feigned shock at the appalling lack of raises and vowed to fix it. Well that was a lot of BS talking (no pun intended).
If it weren't for the pandemic I would likely have left already. In 2021 I plan to look, pandemic or not.
It is an appalling way to treat employees and my peers from other companies find it hard to believe.
I have never got one from the day I was hired (many many years ago). But I knew a few others received pay increases and/or promotion. These are the individuals that are favor by the managers, senior managers or higher management chain. These are also the individuals that never deliver anything, never get things done, and claimed they were very successful in mutiple projects/products/solutions/sales etc. dont ask how I knew, but I just knew.
I had a minor raise in 2018- I wasn't expecting it. People stay at Hitachi because for a long time, it was a "comfortable", slow- pace place to work but this no longer rings so true in the face of the imminent redundancies.
Nothing in 3 years here, looking to leave HV asap.
Why would anybody stay at hitachi then if this happens. This doesn’t make sense
Hahahaha, no. No cost of living adjustments, no merit based on reviews, nothing.
Nope. Never. Can't reveal how I know, but check Glassdoor reviews. It's mentioned a lot.
