Thread regarding Pratt and Whitney layoffs

Is the package fair?

“Layoffs started/happened this morning at 8 am. The package is the same as the VSP – one week of pay per year worked, unused vacation days paid back and a lump sum based on the years worked, between 2,000 and 6,000 + 1 year employee scholar program and benefits for the duration of the severance. Same as everybody else in the industry.”

OP: @1aif+17p5wRrk
I quit a bit earlier and went to another company, but I wonder if it’s really true that they’re so generous with the package? Whoah, this looks too good to be real.

"...and benefits for the duration of the severance."

What is the duration?

VSP plus one year of the ESP so it was a little bit better than the VSP earlier this
year.

Can confirm, this is EXACTLY what was offered. Source? Currently Unemployed

Also - I would classify this as "too good to be true" I still have no job, and it wasn't even close to being based off performance.

I received exactly the same VSP package when I retired from P&W in 2013.
