Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Any change in your workload?

For those laid off, have you seen any decrease in your workload? For those not laid off, have you seen an applicable increase in your workload?

My supervisor told us that those laid off would have their claims load decreased, yet didn't tell us when that was supposed to happen or occur.

I was not laid off, and I can only speak for myself, but I have experienced what I can only describe as an explosion of new claims. Have they already started to readjust the claim load? Multiple times I've started my day with claims already assigned, and my inventory has been steadily increasing as I struggle to keep up.

If this is the future, I'm not looking forward to it.

Wait, you are alarmed because you start a day with new claims assigned? I have been here for 4 years and i can probably count on all my digits the amount of times I came to work WITHOUT a new claim assigned.

We always came in to new work waiting for us. Perhaps you were underworked compared to your peers in other service areas?

What did you think would happen when they riffed your peers???
Wake up! Your workload will reach the unbearable level in short order. Not getting riffed is not the positive it might seem.
