If so, how are you doing on getting interviews? I've been trying to find an alternative for the past two months, I've sent out my resume all over the place and I'm yet to get an interview. I'm trying to figure out if it's me or if the economy is really that bad right now that nobody is hiring.

Told ya so
Yikes. It's you.
@xdq Or director ...
As you know we have loads of stock given to us when during the spin by the best CTO we ever had...
So why leave now? We get to have more experience experimenting, talk Bs and fool other CTOs what’s not to like?
And if it crashes we have contacts, experience and a big severance
@fbd Can you give a reason that we shouldn't leave? A severance package won't really be large payout for me. I'm not doing my career, my wallet, or my emotional well-being any favors by staying.
@OP Not trying to be mean, but if you haven't gotten a single interview by now you are doing something wrong. I've been going at it about the same amount of time and am at negotiations.
DO NOT leave. Nobody is leaving. This is a fake post by some Austin people.
Wait and if need be get your severance. Do like the “fat cats” directors.
Market was definitely better around June/July. You might have missed the boat.
Technology is one of the few industries that are doing well right now. 350% increase in jobs YoY: https://www.glassdoor.com/research/job-market-report-new-york-city/
Using LinkedIn properly is by far the best method for getting interviews. Building the right to kind of contacts and communicating effectively with them is key. I've helped 3 people out this year and they all averaged about a month and a half to get new work.
That being said, it is harder to get a job when you are still working. Also, the holidays are approaching. That will also make it more difficult.
Hard to give you a clear answer without knowing your field and location, but in the NY metro area, jobs are booming in tech and i'm getting Linkedin emails frequently from recruiters. Sending your resume out is like what email is when compared to slack or other messaging platforms... outdated. It takes hundreds of emails just to get a hit or two. You need to be active on LinkedIn messaging recruiters, building/using your network, and finding people who can help you find leads. It's work, but worth it in the end.
The better question is .. Is there anyone NOT trying to leave Resideo. I can tell you the job market is HOT even in light of whats going on and has gotten better in the last couple of months. I do know that Resideo has a very bad reputation. Not a good company to work for, no innovation, no talent, can't compete in its market and is on its way out ETC ETC ETC. Especially in smaller markets such as Austin this reputation is well known. It may not be you it may be the company you work for. Good Luck!
