@1ylo+17oLr0k8 the ones that you can read about are always unsuccessful because the company elected to take the case to court, which meant they knew they could win. The ones that don’t make it to court are settled out of court, and such settlements are not disclosed publicly.

Eeoc claims are easy. But you must keep your rights to sue when you separate. Otherwise you have no path forward to sue, even if you are not expected to prevail.
Forget about EEOC, lawyers, class-action suits, etc. All they will do is consume your time and money. You WILL NOT beat XOM in court. They truly have some of the best lawyers that money can buy, and they will ensure there is absolutely zero risk of successful litigation against the company before anyone is laid off. Fighting management decisions, layoffs, rigged ranking, age discrimination, etc. has been tried many times in the past, and has never once been successful to my knowledge, at least not in the U.S. It's a losing battle.
If you get laid off, walk away and put your energy towards something that can help your situation. You will be dead to EM and there is nothing you can do about it other then educate others on forums such as this, perhaps sparing them a similar fate. Sad but true.
