My husband was hired by Allstate back in March, just before pandemic. Received one week’s payment of salary. . Then the pandemic shut down the offices in Jacksonville. NOT ONE PERSON from the corporate office or otherwise has contacted my husband to let him know if he actually has a job, has been furloughed, or anything!
The COMPLETE lack of communication from an allegedly reputable company has led to lots of discord in our marriage as I’ve accused him of lying that he was even hired by Allstate. This was only because it is unfathomable to me that a giant global company could show such disdain and negligence to its own employees.
I’m sorry...but ZERO communication, even in an email, with employees—especially new employees—is inexcusable.
