When are you planning on quitting. Should plan a bunch of people quit same day so they are left to deal with offshore and see how it really is.

@2dvg roughly $25k per month, why?
It’s not as bad as this site makes it out to be...for me at least. I’m in 6 figure land and I work from home permanently. I think I ride it out, save a lot of money(keep the resume up to date) and wait for the unexpected call one Friday afternoon. I’m content but I realize not everyone is in the same situation. To those people I say, be proactive. Don’t let them catch you by surprise. You write the ending to your story at Xerox...Do not let them write it for you. Good luck to all.
@1gni
My skills can't be too common if they've paid me $17 grand to stay on so far....how much did they pay you????
@1ftc+17jYEa2e - 6 figures? Did JV take a pay cut?
I know of one working stiff who is ready to retire but wants the severance and unemployment before he does. I heard that until they lay him off, he will work about a half hour a day and collect a 6 figure salary.
Me and my new attitude are taking our sweet time.
Probably October.
I had been holding on, hoping maybe I’d get canned and put out of my misery. Looks like it’s not happening, so I’m just leaving. Date yet undecided, but likely in the few weeks.
Not many will jut up and quit. They wouldn't be eligible for unemployment. The workforce is aged, many in their 50's and 60's, and it would be difficult for most to find a job with comparable pay and vacation time. Most are just biding their time till retirement, maybe even hoping for a furlough or layoff. In reality I think most employees actually like what they do, they just can't trust the company (management) and have no job security. At any time, regardless of your position or skill set you could get the tap on the shoulder and you're gone.
When you were badged over, that meant someone decided your skills were a commodity, common. That also means if you leave without notice, nobody will notice. If this is what your particular employer/employee relationship has eroded to, the sooner you are gone, the better.
Severance can be changed/eliminated at any time. They can play the furlough game and string people along to the point where they give up without severance. Bottom line, don't count on severance benefits.
Looking for a new job right now, ...when I do quit it will be with no notice....figure that's fair since they gave me none when they badged me over...
DIY severance package and maybe some consulting on the side.
If you are staying for severence you are stupid. Xerox isn't paying any severence going forward. They are not legally obligated to and revenue decline does not justify it.
If xerox wants people gone just do what’s right and package fairly. These endless furloughs and zero to negatively engaged people in a toxic environment will have a huge cost... might not show on a balance sheet but bill will need to be paid and the interest is only compounding daily. You’ve done your best to drive people out but now it’s time to Smarten up or there’ll be zero value in the xerox brand and no way you’ll get to $40 per share!
Can’t quit ...I want my 8 weeks severance..
Over the years I have seen severance reduced from 52 weeks to 39 now down to 8.
I want a piece of the leftover pie ...With 30 plus years I feel I deserve some .
X treat employees like total sh!t after years of service and then some exec gets all pouty n finger waggy, “you guys be all like doom n gloom. Why yah gotta be negative... why don’t y’all quit if you don’t like it?”
Zero hurry to quit though I’m sure mother x would love to see a org mass walk out and drive that stock up. Totally take my time finding something else And until then I’m completely phoning it in with no sense of urgency... reap what you sow tech power house!
If all of the people posting here quit, they’d have to quit their favorite hobby of doom posting on this board. Given how much some seem to wallow in it, I doubt most will.
