If company doesn’t see LPS as a complete waste of time and money stock deserves to be down 50%. There are entire groups of people doing this sh-t and what value are they adding to the company? Employees struggle to find tasks to LPO, debate NLILI, fill out silly forms. Unproductive busy work if you ask me

CL50, YEE irrelevent, Aggie forever.
Out of hear after the second hip replacement heals.
And one more dividend.
And another round of free spectacles and dentures.
So you'll see me around for awhile.

CL 27, YEE 32, 21 EM. Minutes to retirement eligible. Another example of dropping with age- happy middle third forever, thought I'd honor our new "empower" norms and had a disagreement with supervisor, dropped to NI overnight. Waiting for a package to retire, or to be NSI'd next cycle to at least get the 3 mo. Consulting stint already laid out.

30 years, and they finally decided I was NSI this year. Praying for a package and I won't look back. Looking forward to putting a book about Exxon on my bookshelf, right between Enron and GE.

CL 27, YEE 36, Good bucket. I’m a prime example of ranking dropping with age (used to be top quintile) as well as an example of someone hoping/praying for a package. I am by no means financially ready to retire but would do it if incentives are decent.

YEE Calc: Age - 18. So even if you're an experienced hire coming in at 35, your YEE is 17 upon start. It's not the same as years of service. Hence those that are saying CL26 with YEE 3 are incorrect or the next DW.

@fjp+17ii3kUy, you sold your soul to the devil when you went on supervisory track for more $. The price is your dignity - thats why you are getting paid more than technical. Wo/Man up and shut up until you quit - no pity here.

Those ranked high do not agree with what is happening to those that got pushed into NSI (at least some of us). Some of us have decency and are ready to jump ship. I would write a letter of recommendation to any employee on letterhead because this has become a bu!!$#!t environment. 22 years here and I cannot take telling my staff what HR and Mgmt tell me to tell them. If I am expected to "own my decisions" then I will say what I believe honestly, not what I am told to say, that I disagree with.

Surprised at this many 1st and 2nd quintiles. Thought this forum was mostly lower third employees (like myself).

I dont get paid enough to stay. Surprised by how many younger ones with high CLs are looking to leave.

CL 27, YEE 3, 2nd Q. I was told that HR's next move is to go after "easy targets" that supervisors were asked to keep track of since January. This will be a termination with cause done discriminately. Once employee is in the office, will be called to a conference room. HR will escort them out (or security will). Supervisor will only know the day of who is going to be terminated. There are "talking points" already given to supervisors. Their part is basically, "thank you for your contributions, but you are in violation of company policy". HR rep immediately interjects saying they have a right to Cobra. Employee given a phone number for more information, and not allowed to ask any questions on the spot. A security guard is outside the room in case there is conflict. This is f'n sad because most who are targeted are the older, loyal employees.

YEE is a term used by XOM to define Year end experience (YEE)...and is defined as YEE= AGE minus 18...Service is how much time you have with XOM. YEE is used in salary curves and it gives you credit for your experience after high school. If you got your PHD at age 26, and just started to work your YEE is 8 but your service is zero.

CL 26, YEE 20, 2nd quintile, supervisor. Will send DW and copy WSJ when I quit. It's drafted and will hit send before I log off the last time. This place is bu!!$#!t. Manager told me to PIP one of my staff because she felt intimidated by her putting her on the spot in a meeting, asking if it was mandatory to come back to the office in May. The manager's answer was "talk to your supervisor." Manager told me at that time to create a case on them because this is insubordinate. I was floored. There was no case to make!! I did not agree with it at all because this is the hardest working in my group. I did not put that employee in the bottom 8% at ranking. My manager overrode it, took me to the side and threatened me. Manager said, "It's easy. HR says we can just say they are not a teamplayer, they are difficult to get along with, etc. It's legal. Just do it!" I told that employee exactly what happened and told them I would write them a letter of recommendation for them, and that I am getting the f**k out of here as soon as I can. She was crying, but told me that she respects my honesty and feels better knowing the truth. 20 years...it's sad. This is not the same company at all.

It's probably because then can do math. People that graduate college and have 3 YEE aren't 21...

@paz Can’t speak for everyone, but if you come in with a PhD, they count it as 5 years of experience and start you at CL 24.
