Anyone else find this extremely cold? Especially the "we will get through this together" c-ap. The ones saying this are basically safe.

@azs+17iJdeo0 uhhh no! Workers should hold leaders accountable too. I never thought I would support unions but after the total deception I can say I support unions. Layoffs should happen but not like this. Just pay a severance comparable to market and stop the bs
I suppose “we” made all the strategic mistakes that also put XOM in a very weak position BEFORE the pandemic too.
No slack! Everyone sending those emails is safe. Even if not saying “we” will get through this “together” is dumb not to mention annoying, disingenuous, and utterly tone deaf! “We” will not include a lot of us. “We” certainly applies to those left AFTER the cuts. “We” GOT through this together, those of us left. There is NO “we” right now!!
No one is truly safe. Everyone is just doing the best they can. Cut them some slack- for your own sanity
